We produced this larger-than-life hero prop for a commercial and a cross-country tour.
In addition to specialty costumes, creative tech, and interactive experiences, SCPS is also the trusted source for hero props. Whether it’s a product that needs to be replicated into a robust look-alike and used for practical FX, or shrunk down and used as a commercial gag, or blown up larger-than-life and puppeteered - we’ve done it all!

The giant jar of mayo had to look exactly like the real thing, be transportable, and have a robust exterior - but not taste!

To get an exact look, we 3D scanned an actual jar of Hellmann’s/Best Foods and scaled it up digitally before fabricating the final prop. (Hellmann’s can be found in the East, Best Foods in the West)

The hero prop was initially used in a Hellmann’s commercial during the 2023 “Super Football” Game, in which Jon Hamm and Brie Larson found themselves, along with the jar, inside a giant fridge about to become Pete Davidson’s leftovers.
The jar was seen on a cross country tour supporting Hellmann’s “Mayo for Meals Mission”.

Spectators had their picture taken with the giant jar and when they posted to Instagram, Twitter or TikTok tagging Hellmann’s and used #MayoForMeals, Hellmann’s helped provide 500 meals to Feeding America, plus an additional 100 meals for every mile it traveled.
