How do you get a billion NFL fans to switch to cold water when doing laundry?

Have their favorite NFL players tell them to!

At our innovation and fabrication studio, we used design, fabrication, and creative technology to transform eleven ordinary GE washers into highly perceptive machines that monitored user’s washing habits and audibly kept them in check if they weren’t being sociably responsible with their energy usage.

For this innovative marketing campaign, Tide brought on some well-known favorites, like Ice T, Stone Cold Steve Austin and Matty Ice, to spread the energy-saving message and announce the sweepstakes where fans could win a brand-new GE washing machine decked out with their favorite NFL team logo and programmed with their favorite NFL players reminding them to use cold water every time they attempt to use hot.

We shipped these unique prizes to 10 winners around the US and produced an additional machine for use in the promo videos, photo shoots, and appearances.

The campaign was a great success and is up for several awards, including “Use of Audio Technology” and “Immersive Experience & Other Tech”.
