Space Flight - no big deal!
The space suits we created for the sci fi series The Orville, didn’t take a network of scientists and engineers to create, but we still used state-of-the-art equipment to make them look out-of-this-world.
Need to escape from a doomed spacecraft? We’ve got your back!
The space suits we created for the sci fi series The Orville, didn’t take a network of scientists and engineers to create, but we still used state-of-the-art equipment to make them look out-of-this-world.
Every suit was custom made by first 3D scanning each actor. As an added convenience to our clients, we were able to send our mobile unit to The Orville set in Los Angeles to scan the cast in-between takes, allowing the show’s production to continue uninterrupted.
Using the data gathered from the scanning session, we digitally create the costumes to custom fit the talent.
Many of the costume parts for the jet-packs, helmets, eye-wear, and prop guns were produced using our large fleet of varying 3D printers in conjunction with proprietary workflows we developed over the years. These unique workflows allow us to create high quality costumes and props for our clients more cost effectively and with shorter lead times.
With our state-of-the-art equipment and talented artists under one roof, we can produce exactly what is desired and needed without outsourcing, up-charging and curtailing quality and efficiency.
The result - pure awesomeness! Orville - out!

“These were built by @scpsunlimited and they did an absolutely killer job on them. I suggest them for all your jetpack and helmet needs.” -Patrick Beals
